Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Proposal Manager will bear overall responsibility for the proposal development lifecycle, from the initial receipt of a Request for Proposal (RFP) through to final submission. This role requires close collaboration with sales, technical solutions, finance, and legal teams to ensure the delivery of accurate, compelling, and compliant proposals that align with client requirements.

Core responsibilities include:

• Analyzing solicitation documents (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) to identify core client requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Leading and coordinating all phases of the proposal process, including planning, scheduling, and resource identification.
• Managing a cross-functional team (technical, sales, pricing, legal) to ensure strict adherence to deadlines and high-quality content output.
• Writing, reviewing, and editing proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and persuasive power.
• Developing the overall proposal strategy, outline, and key win themes that highlight Sofomation's unique value proposition.
• Ensuring full compliance with all terms, conditions, and instructions outlined in the solicitation.
• Preparing presentation materials and support documents for internal reviews and client presentations.
• Maintaining a knowledge base of reusable content (boilerplate text, resumes, case studies, past performance).
• Conducting post-submission debriefs and analyzing proposal outcomes to identify areas for process and content improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications

Sofomation is looking for highly qualified candidates with a proven track record of managing successful proposals, preferably within the technology or professional services sectors.

Essential Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a Proposal Manager role or a closely related position (e.g., Project Management, Business Development).
• In-depth understanding of complex sales cycles and procurement management.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both English and Arabic, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage virtual or cross-departmental teams under tight deadlines.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and proposal management software.
• Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with all stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (Assets):

• Professional certification in proposal management (e.g., APMP Foundation/Practitioner).
