Aviation & Tourism Accountant - ABH Holding Group

ABH Holding Group is actively recruiting for the position of Aviation & Tourism Accountant to be based at their headquarters in Makkah Al Mukarramah, Saudi Arabia. Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful accountant will be responsible for managing and executing a range of specialized financial tasks supporting the Group's tourism and aviation business units. Core responsibilities include:

• Daily Accounting: Accurately and timely recording of all financial transactions related to the tourism and aviation sectors, including invoicing, account reconciliation, and revenue/expense posting.
• Accounts Receivable/Payable Management: Managing accounts for clients such as travel booking agencies and airlines, as well as supplier accounts from hotels, ground service companies, and other travel agencies.
• Periodic Financial Reporting: Preparing regular financial reports (daily, weekly, monthly) that reflect the financial performance of tourism and aviation activities, and presenting them to management for decision-making.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets for upcoming activities and projects, and comparing actual performance against approved budgets.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensuring all financial records and transactions comply with local Saudi regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and preparing for internal and external audit processes.
• Cost & Revenue Analysis: Analyzing cost structures for flights and tour packages, monitoring profit margins, and proposing improvements to enhance financial efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be a suitable candidate for this specialized role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in accounting, with preferred prior experience in the tourism, aviation, travel, or hospitality sector.
• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting and finance software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Soft Skills:
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle seasonal demands (e.g., Hajj and Umrah seasons).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • High integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial data.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
