Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Civil Engineer will be responsible for a range of critical tasks to ensure construction operations proceed according to the highest standards of quality, safety, and scheduled timelines. Core responsibilities include:

• Site Supervision: Directly supervising construction activities on-site to ensure full compliance with approved technical specifications and engineering drawings.
• Quality Control: Conducting regular inspections of construction materials and executed work, verifying their conformity to standard specifications and local building regulations in Ajman and Sharjah.
• Planning & Execution: Assisting in planning and implementing the sequence of structural operations, coordinating with subcontractors and other site supervisors.
• Resource Management: Monitoring the use of materials, equipment, and labor to achieve efficiency and minimize waste.
• Documentation & Reporting: Preparing daily progress reports, documenting any deviations from plans, and recording measurements of completed work.
• Safety: Enforcing strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols on the work site to prevent accidents.
• Coordination: Acting as an effective liaison between project management in the office and the workforce/subcontractors on site.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Practical Experience: Proven hands-on experience of 3 to 5 years in the building construction contracting field, with preference given to those with prior experience in the UAE market.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international and local building specifications, construction methodologies, and the ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility & Commitment: Willingness to work across different sites in Ajman and Sharjah, with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
• Language: Proficiency in English for written and verbal communication. Knowledge of Arabic is a strong advantage.
