IK Manpower International is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Commi Bakery & Pastry professional to join a dynamic culinary team in Al Kuwait, Kuwait. This is a full-time position ideal for individuals passionate about baking and pastry arts.
Job Description
The Commi Bakery & Pastry is responsible for assisting in the preparation and production of a wide range of baked goods, pastries, and desserts under the supervision of the Head Chef or Executive Pastry Chef. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing various types of dough (bread, croissants, pastries).
- Making creams, fillings, sauces, and dessert components.
- Assisting with plating and presentation of dishes.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Properly storing and rotating ingredients.
- Contributing to menu development and seasonal specials.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Culinary degree or diploma in pastry/baking (advantageous).
- Solid knowledge of baking techniques and pastry fundamentals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
- English proficiency required; Arabic is a plus.
