Job Description

Brunel, a leading recruitment and engineering consultancy firm, is seeking a highly skilled Control System Engineering Specialist for a job opportunity in Qatar, on behalf of one of its clients in the energy or industrial sector.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of industrial control systems, including SCADA, PLC, and DCS systems. Key responsibilities include analyzing project requirements, writing control programs, testing systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial control systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
  • Experience with DCS systems (e.g., Honeywell, Yokogawa) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications in control systems (e.g., Certified Automation Professional).
  • Experience in oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
  • Knowledge of international safety standards (IEC 61511, ISA-84).
