A leading company (Confidential) in Qatar is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join its team at the headquarters in Doha. The company operates in the technology and industrial sector, offering a dynamic and innovation-driven work environment.

Job Description

As an Automation Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems to improve industrial and operational processes. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Developing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
• Maintaining and optimizing existing automation systems for maximum operational efficiency.
• Collaborating with engineering and production teams to integrate automation solutions into existing processes.
• Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Documenting all designs, procedures, and modifications.
• Training operators and technicians on new systems.
• Troubleshooting automation systems and resolving technical issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider).
• Strong experience with SCADA and HMI systems.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written). Arabic is a plus.
