Total Risk Protection Company is actively recruiting for the position of Fire Protection Engineer to be based at its headquarters in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This role presents a significant opportunity for specialized safety and fire protection engineers to contribute to vital projects within one of the world's fastest-growing markets.

Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful engineer will be integrated into a specialized risk and safety management team, bearing responsibility for a range of critical tasks including:

  • Design and Engineering: Designing integrated fire protection systems for both new and existing projects, encompassing alarm systems, automatic suppression systems (e.g., sprinklers, gas, foam), and smoke/heat detection systems.
  • Review and Auditing: Reviewing project engineering drawings and designs to ensure compliance with local and international fire protection specifications.
  • Compliance Assurance: Guaranteeing that all safety system designs and installations comply with mandatory Saudi regulations, such as those from the Saudi Civil Defense, as well as recognized global standards (e.g., NFPA, IBC, BS).
  • Field Assessment: Conducting on-site inspections and evaluations of buildings and facilities to identify fire hazards and propose appropriate engineering solutions.
  • Reporting: Preparing detailed technical reports on risk assessments, inspection findings, and necessary recommendations for safety improvements.
  • Coordination and Support: Working closely with other project teams (architectural, mechanical, electrical) as well as vendors and contractors to ensure the correct implementation of protection systems.
  • Continuous Development: Staying abreast of the latest technologies, specifications, and legislation in the field of fire protection engineering.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in fire protection system engineering and design, preferably within a consultancy environment or with major contracting companies.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of fire protection standards (primarily NFPA) and Saudi Civil Defense regulations. Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD and Revit is a significant advantage.
  • Professional Certifications: Holding recognized professional certifications in safety (e.g., CFPS, CFI, or equivalents) will be a strong preference.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to work within a team and a multi-disciplinary environment. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
  • Language: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
