Job Description
The Forklift Driver will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials and goods within the warehouse. Key daily tasks include:
- Operating various types of forklifts (electric, diesel, LPG).
- Transporting goods to and from storage areas, shipping, and receiving docks.
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers.
- Organizing inventory in the warehouse according to storage protocols.
- Performing daily pre-operational checks on the forklift.
- Reporting any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Adhering to all occupational health and safety standards.
- Assisting with inventory counts when required.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- License: Valid forklift operator license or certification (preferred).
- Technical Skills: Ability to handle loads of varying weights and sizes with precision.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of sitting for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of warehouse safety rules and protocols.
- Language: Proficiency in Arabic (basic English is a plus).
- Availability: Willingness to work in shifts (morning and evening) if required.
