Job Overview

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Internal Audit management in its oversight and evaluation activities. He/She will work closely with the Internal Audit Manager and the team to ensure the effectiveness of the internal control system, compliance with established policies and procedures, as well as local and international professional and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in planning and executing the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment.
• Lead and manage audit teams during the execution of field audit assignments across various company departments.
• Prepare comprehensive internal audit reports detailing findings and recommendations for process and control improvements.
• Follow up on the implementation of recommendations and corrective actions with concerned departments to ensure proper closure of findings.
• Contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness of risk management, governance, and internal control frameworks.
• Stay abreast of changes in relevant local and international laws and regulations pertaining to the company's field of operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for the internal audit department's processes and methodologies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Academic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced professional certifications are a strong plus.
• A recognized professional certification in auditing or accounting such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is highly preferred.

Work Experience:

• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of practical experience in internal or external auditing, with some of that experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Previous experience in a leading corporate environment, preferably within the Middle East region and specifically in Dubai or the UAE.
• Experience dealing with International Auditing Standards and audit risk assessment frameworks.

• Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify root causes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with various stakeholders across the company.
• Integrity, objectivity, and utmost confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

• Proficiency in computer applications and office software, with knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle.
