Job Overview
The Internal Audit Manager will hold a pivotal role within the company's senior management structure, responsible for leading and developing the internal audit function. The role will focus on providing independent and objective assurance regarding the effectiveness of the internal control system, risk management, and governance processes. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the internal audit team, developing its annual plan, human resources, and budget.
- Design and execute a comprehensive risk-based audit plan to assess the effectiveness of internal controls across all company activities.
- Conduct in-depth audit reviews of financial, operational, and technological processes, identifying control weaknesses and risks.
- Prepare clear, concise audit reports that present objective findings and practical recommendations for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure findings are addressed by relevant departments.
- Provide objective advice to management on governance, risk management, and internal control matters.
- Ensure audit activities comply with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) for internal auditing.
- Liaise and coordinate with external auditors and relevant regulatory bodies.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in auditing, risk, and regulations pertinent to the transportation and logistics industry.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. A Master’s degree or professional certifications are a strong plus.
- A recognized professional certification in auditing such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or equivalent. The CIA certification is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of practical experience in internal or external auditing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (Manager or Team Lead).
- Substantial hands-on experience in large corporations, preferably within the transportation, logistics, industrial, or energy sectors.
- Deep knowledge of International Auditing Standards, risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO), and governance requirements.
- Exceptional analytical and investigative skills with the ability to understand complex processes.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- High integrity, objectivity, and principled conduct.
