Job Overview

The Lead Buyer will be responsible for leading and executing the company's procurement strategies. The role focuses on securing required goods and services at the highest quality and best possible value, while maintaining operational efficiency and fostering strong supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop & Implement Procurement Strategies: Formulate strategic purchasing plans aligned with the company's financial and operational objectives.
• Supplier Management: Source new suppliers, evaluate the performance of existing vendors, and manage strategic relationships to ensure supply chain reliability.
• Contract Negotiations: Lead the negotiation of contracts with suppliers to secure optimal terms regarding price, quality, delivery schedules, and payment conditions.
• Market & Cost Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to analyze price trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all procured materials meet required quality specifications and that purchasing activities adhere to internal policies, procedures, and any applicable local regulations.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as operations, finance, and projects to understand and effectively fulfill their requirements.
• Reporting: Analyze spending data and prepare regular reports for management on procurement performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS) are a strong plus.
• Work Experience: Proven experience of 5-7 years in procurement or supply chain management, with experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for procurement is highly desirable.
• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
