Job Overview

The Manager will bear full responsibility for the overall management and operation of the Minted Bars division. The core focus of this role will be to ensure operational efficiency, drive commercial growth, and uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance across all divisional activities. This position is central to the company's broader strategy in the precious commodities sector, as Dubai continues to grow as a global hub for gold and precious metals trading.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic and financial plans for the Minted Bars division to achieve growth and revenue targets.
• Operational Management: Oversee all day-to-day operational aspects of the division, including procurement, production, assaying, hallmarking, storage, and logistics.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with globally accredited suppliers and refineries, as well as key institutional and trader clients.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with local and international regulations governing precious metals trade, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations. Manage operational and financial risks related to price volatility and security.
• Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control programs to ensure the purity and accuracy of all minted bars according to international specifications (e.g., London Good Delivery standard).
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a professional, specialized team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and safety.
• Business Development: Identify new market opportunities, develop innovative products or services, and engage in marketing activities to expand market share.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA) will be a strong advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of proven professional experience in the precious metals, financial services, or high-value commodity management sector, with a demonstrated focus on minted bars or coin management.
• Leadership Experience: At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity, with a track record of team management and delivering results.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of global gold and precious metals markets, smelting and refining processes, quality standards, and pricing mechanisms.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of relevant local (UAE Securities and Commodities Authority, Central Bank of the UAE) and international regulatory frameworks for the sector.
• Skills: Exceptional leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities in both English and Arabic. Strong strategic analysis and decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite.
• Personal Attributes: High integrity, meticulous attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and a strong results-oriented approach.
