Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed engineer will hold a dynamic position that blends technical and commercial facets. Key responsibilities will include:

• Business Development & Marketing: Identifying new business opportunities within Oman's fire protection systems market, encompassing residential, commercial, industrial projects, and government facilities.
• Technical Customer Support: Providing specialized technical consultation to existing and potential clients, assisting them in selecting appropriate fire protection solutions (e.g., sprinkler systems, alarm systems, gas suppression systems) based on project requirements and standard specifications.
• Preparation of Technical & Commercial Proposals: Analyzing client needs and preparing detailed, compelling technical and financial proposals for mechanical and/or electrical fire protection systems.
• Sales Cycle Management: Managing opportunities from initial lead generation through to deal closure and handover, while maintaining a strong professional relationship with the client.
• Internal Coordination: Working closely with internal engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure customer specifications are met and projects are delivered on schedule.
• Market Awareness: Staying updated on the latest technologies, regulations, and international/local standards in fire protection (e.g., NFPA, Oman Civil Defence specifications).

Qualifications and Core Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Work Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in technical sales or applications engineering. Direct experience in fire protection systems, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, or public safety systems is a significant competitive advantage.
• Technical Skills: A deep understanding of mechanical and/or electrical principles. Knowledge of firefighting system types, their components, and applications.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self-motivated and results-driven.
• Logistical Requirements: The applicant must be residing in the Sultanate of Oman or be willing to relocate to Muscat. A valid driver's license is preferred.
