Job Description
The Senior Manager for Regulatory Relations will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the relationship with key regulatory bodies in the Kingdom, primarily the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA). This role is central to the bank's governance and compliance operations, serving as the strategic liaison between the institution and its supervisors.
Key Expected Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Relationship Management: Lead and orchestrate all forms of communication with regulatory authorities, including coordinating periodic meetings, submitting required reports, and responding to formal inquiries and requests.
- Compliance & Monitoring: Continuously monitor the local regulatory landscape to identify new changes in laws, regulations, and circulars impacting the bank's operations, and ensure their translation into effective internal policies and procedures.
- Internal Coordination: Act as a central point of contact between internal departments (such as Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations) and regulatory bodies to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
- Meeting & Examination Preparation: Oversee comprehensive preparation for regulatory meetings and on-site examination visits, including preparing presentations, support documentation, and ensuring the readiness of relevant teams.
- Reporting & Briefing: Prepare periodic analytical reports for senior management on the status of regulatory relations, potential risks, and overall compliance standing.

Requirements & Qualifications
To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you should meet the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Business, Law, or Accounting. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, Masters in Financial Law) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CRCM, GRCP) is a strong competitive advantage.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, risk management, or internal audit within the banking or financial sector in Saudi Arabia.
- Proven, hands-on experience in direct dealings with the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) and a deep understanding of the local financial sector regulatory framework.
- Experience in leadership or supervisory positions, with the ability to manage teams and influence stakeholders across various departments.
- Good knowledge of digital banking products and services is a significant plus.
