Job Description

The Senior Pipeline Engineer will play a pivotal role within the engineering team, being responsible for the technical aspects related to the design, analysis, and oversight of pipeline projects. Dubai serves as a global hub for energy and infrastructure, providing a challenging and opportunity-rich environment for specialized engineers.

Key Expected Responsibilities:

  • Design & Engineering: Contribute to the design of pipeline systems for energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects, ensuring compliance with international specifications and safety standards.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct stress and flexibility analysis for piping systems using specialized software (e.g., CAESAR II, AutoPIPE), ensuring their integrity under various operating conditions.
  • Project Management: Provide technical support throughout all project phases, from initial planning and feasibility studies to execution, delivery, and testing.
  • Drawing & Specification Review: Review and approve engineering drawings (P&IDs), isometric drawings, and material & equipment specifications.
  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure the application of the highest Quality and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards in all work aspects, participating in risk assessments.
  • Coordination & Support: Work closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g., Mechanical, Civil), contractors, and clients to deliver effective engineering solutions.
  • Reporting: Prepare required technical reports, documentation, and project deliverables.

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this competitive role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in pipeline engineering, with a proven track record of involvement in major projects. Experience within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is a significant advantage.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in pipeline stress analysis software such as CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, or similar.
    • In-depth knowledge of relevant international codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API).
    • Comprehensive understanding of engineering project development stages from concept to completion.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work within a team, manage priorities, and perform under pressure.
    • Initiative and leadership qualities.
