Job Description
The appointed consultant will serve as the primary technical authority for SharePoint solutions within the company or for its clients. The focus of the role will be on understanding business needs and translating them into effective, scalable technical solutions using the SharePoint environment. The consultant will work closely with various departments and stakeholders to ensure maximum value is derived from the investment in this platform.
Key Expected Responsibilities:
- Design & Implementation: Lead the process of requirements analysis, solution architecture design, and the implementation/customization of SharePoint platforms (Online and/or On-Premises) to align with business objectives.
- Development & Integration: Develop custom web parts, web applications, and workflows using tools like Power Automate and Power Apps, as well as integrate SharePoint with other systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, or third-party systems).
- Administration & Maintenance: Manage the SharePoint environment, including installation, configuration, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and high availability.
- Support & Training: Provide technical support to end-users, create technical documentation, and train teams on how to effectively use new features and functionalities.
- Best Practices: Ensure the application of cybersecurity standards and best practices in content management and governance within the SharePoint platform.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:
Technical Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience of 3 to 5 years in a Microsoft SharePoint consultant, developer, or administrator role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and its related services.
- Experience in developing SharePoint solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
- A strong understanding of related Azure services (e.g., Azure AD, Azure Logic Apps) is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with enterprise content management, collaboration, and document management concepts.
Personal & Professional Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Arabic and English) to clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
- Customer-service orientation and a solid understanding of business needs.
- A desire for continuous learning and keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in Microsoft platforms.
Academic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
