Job Description

The Solution Architect will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the business strategies of clients in the banking sector and the appropriate technical solutions. You will be responsible for analyzing complex business requirements, designing comprehensive solution architectures, and leading technical implementation to ensure tangible value delivery for clients.

Key Expected Responsibilities:

• Requirements Analysis & Solution Design: Work closely with banking sector clients to understand their operational and business challenges, analyze their requirements, and translate them into detailed technical and architectural specifications.
• Technical Architecture Engineering: Design and plan the architecture of integrated, flexible, and scalable solutions that meet banking clients' needs, considering factors such as security, reliability, cost, and compliance.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-sales and proposal to development, implementation, and handover to operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between various stakeholders including business management, software developers, systems engineers, and banking clients to ensure the technical solution aligns with business objectives.
• Technology Evangelism: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in banking and financial technology (FinTech), such as cloud computing, blockchain, AI, and big data, and evaluate their applicability to client solutions.
• Documentation & Presentation: Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation (e.g., design documents, architecture diagrams) and clear technical presentations to articulate the value of proposed solutions to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this critical role, you should meet the following criteria:

Technical Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
• Proven hands-on experience of 5 to 8 years in a Solution Architect or similar role, with a strong focus on the Banking and Financial Services domain.
• Deep knowledge of core banking processes and systems (Core Banking, Payments, Lending, etc.).
• Experience in designing solutions using leading platforms and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Oracle, SAP).
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Microservices architecture.
• Experience in process modeling and business analysis.

Personal & Professional Skills:

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences (management, clients).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for tackling complex issues.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking with a focus on delivering results.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential. Knowledge of Arabic will be a significant advantage.
