Job Description
The Senior HR Business Partner will occupy a consultative and strategic position within the company. They will be responsible for providing integrated support to business leaders and various departments, ensuring operational goals are met through the optimal investment in human capital. The HR Business Partner acts as a vital bridge between the HR function and other operational units.
Key Expected Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership: Work closely with department leaders to understand their business needs and identify HR priorities that support strategic and executional goals.
- Workforce Development: Contribute to workforce planning, analyze skill gaps, and develop plans for competency development and succession planning.
- Performance Management: Lead and facilitate performance management and annual appraisal processes, ensuring company objectives are aligned with individual goals, and providing coaching to managers.
- Employee Relations & Development: Address employee relations matters, foster a positive work environment, and contribute to engagement and retention initiatives.
- Recruitment Operational Support: Coordinate with the recruitment team to ensure the hiring needs of assigned departments are met with the required competencies and in a timely manner.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure HR policies and procedures are understood and applied consistently and fairly across departments.
- Data Analysis: Utilize HR metrics and data to provide evidence-based insights and recommendations for process improvement and decision-making.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be a successful candidate for this important role at Galfar, you are expected to meet the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. A Master’s degree or advanced professional certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is a significant advantage.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in Human Resources, with a strong focus on the HR Business Partner role.
- Previous experience in the engineering, construction, contracting, or similar project-based industries is a strong competitive advantage.
- Proven experience working in complex, dynamic, and international environments.
Personal and Professional Skills:
- Deep understanding of strategic and operational HR practices.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and listening skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with all management levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities using a data-driven methodology.
- Good knowledge of local labor laws in the Sultanate of Oman.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken). Knowledge of Arabic will be an additional advantage.
