The Welding Inspector will be stationed at project sites or company facilities, primarily responsible for ensuring all welding operations are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical specification compliance. The core responsibilities include:

• Inspection and Examination: Conducting systematic Visual Testing (VT) on weld joints before, during, and after welding operations to detect surface defects such as cracks, lack of penetration, or porosity.
• Quality Control: Supervising welding processes to ensure correct procedure application (WPS) and the use of appropriate equipment and materials. Verifying that personnel are qualified and authorized for the work.
• Standards Compliance: Ensuring all welding work complies with relevant international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, API), as well as local Qatari regulations and company-specific requirements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Preparing detailed and clear inspection reports, recording findings, and maintaining complete quality records. Issuing acceptance or rejection certificates for work based on inspection outcomes.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized welding inspection certifications is crucial. These include:
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) from the American Welding Society (AWS) is a significant advantage.
