Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The appointed Welding Lead will be responsible for leading and managing welding operations across the company's industrial projects. The core responsibilities will focus on:

• Leadership & Supervision: Directly supervising a team of welding technicians and laborers, assigning daily tasks, and ensuring their execution to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
• Operations Planning: Participating in the planning of welding schedules for projects, ensuring the availability of necessary materials and equipment to complete work on time.
• Quality Control: Ensuring all welding work complies with precise technical and engineering specifications, international quality standards (such as ASME, AWS), and required safety codes. You will be responsible for inspecting welds and documenting results.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or a related field. Professional welding certifications are a significant advantage.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in industrial welding, with a proven track record of at least 3 to 5 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity (e.g., Team Supervisor, Foreman).
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of common welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW) and their materials. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings.
• Leadership Skills: Excellent ability to lead and motivate a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills to troubleshoot and manage priorities under pressure.
• Safety Commitment: A strong track record of strict adherence to safety standards and procedures in industrial work environments.
