Job Description
The newly hired Accountant will be integrated into the financial structure of Sela Paas, responsible for a range of core accounting tasks that support business stability and growth. Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining Financial Records: Accurately recording financial transactions in accounting ledgers and the ERP system (if applicable), including invoices, expenses, and accruals.
- Preparing Financial Reports: Assisting in the preparation of periodic trial balances, income statements, and other financial reports as required by management.
- Bank Reconciliation: Performing regular reconciliation of bank accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Managing Accounts Payable & Receivable: Processing incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, and following up on customer receivables.
- Tax Compliance: Assisting in the preparation and filing of Value-Added Tax (VAT) returns and ensuring adherence to Saudi tax regulations.
- Audit Support: Providing necessary documentation and data during internal or external audit processes.
- Financial Administrative Support: Supporting budget preparation, financial forecasting, and any other related tasks assigned by the Finance Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Work Experience: Proven work experience of at least 2 to 3 years in an accounting role. Experience in service-based companies or startups is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
- Hands-on knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Zoho Books, or similar).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Soft Skills:
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential data with integrity and discretion.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team.
- Effective time management and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
