Business Development / Sales Manager – Fasteners Industry

A leading company in the industrial supply sector is seeking to hire an experienced Business Development / Sales Manager specializing in the Fasteners Industry. This role represents a pivotal position in driving growth efforts and increasing market share within a fundamental sector that supports the Kingdom's infrastructure, manufacturing, and energy projects.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Business Development / Sales Manager will be entrusted with a range of strategic and operational responsibilities designed to drive revenue and build robust business relationships. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans and business development strategies for the fasteners segment, aligning with the company's ambitious growth objectives in the Saudi market.
  • Team Management & Development: Lead and guide the sales team, providing necessary training and support to enhance their performance and ensure the achievement of individual and team targets.
  • Expanding Client Base: Prospect, identify, and develop new business opportunities with contractors, manufacturing firms, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and wholesale distributors in the industrial sector. The focus is on building a strong and diverse customer portfolio.
  • Key Account Management (KAM): Develop and manage relationships with existing strategic clients, understand their deep-seated needs, ensure their complete satisfaction, and work on increasing business volume with them.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct continuous market research to analyze trends, assess competitor movements, and identify potential opportunities and threats. Utilize these insights to formulate informed strategies.
  • Negotiation & Deal Closure: Lead contract and commercial terms negotiations with clients, aiming to secure major deals and ensure profitability for the company.
  • Internal Coordination: Work closely with marketing, warehouse, logistics, and technical support departments to ensure customer expectations are met and an integrated service is delivered.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed periodic reports on sales performance, pipeline, target achievement, and present them to senior management.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Work Experience: Proven experience of at least 7-10 years in sales or business development, with a strong and preferably exclusive focus on the industrial Fasteners sector or similar industrial sectors like tools or metal supplies.
  • Saudi Market Experience: In-depth knowledge of the industrial and commercial market in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. An existing professional network is a significant advantage.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate sales teams to achieve ambitious targets. Experience in training, coaching, and supervision.
  • Communication & Negotiation Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. Superior negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Analytical & Strategic Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and market performance, and formulate actionable strategic business plans.
  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Higher qualifications may be an added advantage.
  • Personality: The candidate must be proactive, able to work under pressure, and flexible to travel within the Kingdom as per job requirements.
