Accounts Payable Accountant - Safari Group, Riyadh

Job Overview
The Accounts Payable Accountant will be an integral part of the group's finance department. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Invoice Processing: Accurately receive, review, index, and code vendor and third-party invoices, verifying them against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Verification & Posting: Ensure necessary approvals for payments are obtained according to the organizational hierarchy, and post approved invoices into the financial system correctly and in a timely manner.
- Payment Preparation: Assist in preparing supplier payments (checks, bank transfers) according to a scheduled timeline, maintaining accurate records for all transactions.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of accounts payable ledgers, match relevant bank statements, and resolve any discrepancies or vendor inquiries.
- Vendor Relations: Communicate professionally with suppliers to address their account-related queries and coordinate payment details.
- Compliance & Archiving: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and local/internal policies, and maintain an organized and secure archive of all financial documents.
- Reporting Support: Contribute to the preparation of periodic accounts payable reports and provide support during internal or external audit processes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven work experience of 2 to 4 years in an accounts payable function, preferably within a large company or business group.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), with experience using common accounting/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Integrity and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
