Job Description

The Airport Project Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and directing a vital airport project within the Kingdom. The primary responsibility will be to ensure the project is delivered within the defined scope, approved budget, and required schedule, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The manager will work closely with all stakeholders, including the client, contractors, consultants, and the internal company team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership to the project team, offering strategic and operational guidance.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scheduling, cost management, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee all project phases, from initial planning through to final delivery and handover.
  • Proactively manage risks, identify potential challenges, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure full compliance with all technical specifications, local and international regulations, and airport-specific safety standards.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and the client, highlighting progress, risks, and required decisions.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts, review valuations, and payment claims.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and effective communication among all project parties.

Requirements and Qualifications

Hill International is seeking a candidate with a proven track record in managing major infrastructure projects, preferably within an airport or aviation environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Architectural, or related field). A Master's degree is a distinct advantage.
  • A recognized professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly essential.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 8 years in a leadership role on major airport projects.
  • Extensive hands-on experience working within Saudi Arabia and comprehensive knowledge of its regulatory systems and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of all phases of airport project development, from design through construction and commissioning.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate multicultural teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • High proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
