Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The successful Project Manager will be assigned to lead some of the region's most complex and innovative projects. Core responsibilities include:
- Leadership & Planning: Leading the project team from inception to completion, developing comprehensive project plans that outline scope, schedule, budget, and required resources.
- Execution & Monitoring: Overseeing the day-to-day execution of all project aspects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and Saudi regulatory requirements.
- Budget & Schedule Control: Meticulously monitoring and controlling costs, identifying any deviations from the budget or timeline, and implementing immediate corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Management: Acting as the primary liaison between the client (owner), contractors, consultants, and relevant government authorities, ensuring effective and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks that could impact project success in terms of time, cost, and quality.
- Reporting: Preparing detailed periodic progress reports for senior management and the client, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Promoting a strong safety culture on-site and ensuring compliance with all company and local Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and standards.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements
To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical) or a related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration or Project Management is a strong advantage.
- Professional Certification: A recognized project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is highly desired or strongly preferred.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience managing major construction projects, with proven experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in project management software like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, along with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English, strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure and manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Local Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Saudi Arabian construction industry's business environment, regulations, and standards.
