Job Description and Responsibilities

The appointed BIM Modeller will perform a range of key tasks focused on supporting design, engineering, and construction teams. Core responsibilities include:

• Creating and developing accurate and detailed 3D Building Information Models (BIM) for architectural and structural projects using specialized software such as Revit, and potentially Navisworks or AutoCAD.
• Collaborating closely with architects, structural engineers, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) engineers to ensure model integration and coordination.
• Updating and maintaining BIM models throughout the project lifecycle to reflect the latest design changes and specifications.
• Contributing to the early-stage clash detection process between different disciplines to avoid on-site issues during construction.
• Preparing and extracting 2D drawings, details, and quantity schedules from the 3D models.
• Ensuring compliance with company standards and established BIM execution plans/protocols.
• Providing technical support to the project team regarding any modeling-related queries or challenges.

Qualifications and Key Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or any construction-related field.
• Work Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in a similar BIM Modeller role, preferably within a large or medium-scale construction project environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit is a fundamental requirement. Working knowledge of other software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office will be a significant advantage.
• Soft Skills: Excellent teamwork ability, high attention to detail, and effective communication skills (verbal and written). The ability to manage time and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge: A deep understanding of construction principles, architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
