Job Description

The Credit Project Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and implementing strategic initiatives related to credit systems, products, and processes within the banking institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful management of complex credit projects from initial planning through to final delivery, adhering strictly to timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards.

Key expected responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating all phases of credit projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Acting as a key liaison between stakeholders from various departments such as Risk Management, Operations, Technology, and Business teams to ensure project alignment.
• Developing, reviewing, and enhancing policies, procedures, and internal controls related to credit management.
• Assessing risks associated with credit projects and developing mitigation plans to ensure compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., Basel standards).
• Preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management on project progress, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Overseeing project teams and ensuring effective communication and conflict resolution to achieve project goals.
• Staying abreast of developments in banking regulations, best practices in credit management, and emerging technologies.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this position, you are expected to meet the following criteria:

• Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics. Advanced degrees (MBA, MSc in Finance) or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRM, CFA) are a significant advantage.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in banking or financial services, with a strong focus on credit management, risk analysis, or financial project management. Prior experience leading projects related to credit systems, product development, or digital transformation in credit will be core to the requirements.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of credit and risk management principles and banking regulations. Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English. Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities. The capacity to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Geographic Knowledge: A good understanding of the banking market and regulatory landscape in Qatar and the GCC region is considered an important advantage.
