Event Sales Manager – Outside Catering (Job in Kuwait)

A leading and confidential company within Kuwait's hospitality and catering sector is seeking to fill the position of Event Sales Manager – Outside Catering. Job Description and Responsibilities

The Event Sales Manager will bear the primary responsibility for generating revenue and driving growth for the company's outside catering division. This role will focus predominantly on selling comprehensive catering and hospitality service packages for events held off the company's premises. Key responsibilities include:

  • Business Development & Sales: Identifying and targeting new business opportunities within the Kuwaiti events market, encompassing conferences, weddings, social gatherings, corporate events, and business meetings.
  • Full-Cycle Sales Management: Managing the entire sales process from lead generation and cold outreach to presenting detailed proposals, negotiating terms, closing deals, and ensuring an exceptional client experience.
  • Building & Managing Client Relationships: Developing strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients, including individuals, corporations, event planners, and agencies. Understanding their deep-seated needs and proposing tailored catering solutions that meet and exceed expectations.
  • Proposal & Contract Preparation: Preparing professional, comprehensive quotations and clear contracts that detail menus, equipment, logistics, and costs.
  • Internal Collaboration: Working closely with internal kitchen, logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure the seamless execution of events according to agreed specifications and within budget.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement in the company's service offerings.
  • Target Achievement: Committing to and achieving the monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience: Proven track record of 3 to 5 years in hospitality or catering sales, with a strong focus on event sales and outside catering. Experience in the Kuwaiti or GCC market is a significant advantage.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills (verbal and written) in both English and Arabic.
    • A driven, self-motivated personality capable of working independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • A proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
    • Strategic thinking and proactive problem-solving.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of catering operations and event logistics. Proficiency in basic computer software (Microsoft Office Suite) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is required.
