Job Description
TDGISERV SERVICES is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Manager (Civil Engineering background) to join their team in Doha, Qatar. This role is specifically for an Arabic-speaking professional who will be responsible for the comprehensive management of facilities and buildings, ensuring their efficient operation according to the highest quality and safety standards.
The Facility Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and supervision of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities. This includes managing internal teams and external contractors to ensure operational continuity. The role requires a strong background in civil engineering and a deep understanding of building systems and facility management best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all maintenance operations for buildings and facilities (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, civil works).
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to maximize equipment and infrastructure lifespan.
- Supervise in-house maintenance teams and external contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare and manage operational budgets for facilities and track expenditures.
- Manage service contracts and vendor agreements, including negotiations.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify needs and potential issues.
- Prepare periodic reports on facility status and maintenance performance for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international regulations regarding health, safety, and environment (HSE).
- Manage facility improvement and renovation projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Nationality: Not specified (candidates currently residing in Qatar or willing to relocate are preferred).
- Language: Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is mandatory, along with proficiency in English.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facility management, preferably within commercial, residential, or industrial sectors.
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams and contractors.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional certifications in facility management (e.g., CFM, FMP) are a plus.
