Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed QAQC Inspector will be based on the project site and will be primarily responsible for ensuring all construction works and materials comply with agreed standard specifications, industry best practices, and the company's internal quality requirements. The core responsibilities include:

• Implementation and Monitoring: Implementing and monitoring the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) program from inception through to final handover.
• Inspection and Testing: Conducting regular inspections of received materials, installation processes, and site construction works to verify compliance with approved specifications and drawings.
• Documentation and Reporting: Preparing daily inspection reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), test reports, and other quality-related documentation. Maintaining quality records accurately and systematically.
• Coordination: Working closely with the Project Manager, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements are understood and addressed proactively.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards and local regulations while performing inspection duties.
• Material Review: Reviewing material certificates and test results for incoming materials prior to approval for use on the project.
• Stage Inspections: Conducting inspections for key project milestones (e.g., casting, structural, finishes) and assisting in handover and snagging processes.
• Problem Solving: Identifying quality deficiencies or deviations and reporting them to management with proposed corrective and preventive actions.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field) or a recognized technical diploma with equivalent experience.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a QAQC Inspector role within the construction industry, preferably in the UAE or the wider Gulf region.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of international construction standards and specifications (e.g., ASTM, BS, ACI) and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Skills: Excellent communication and reporting skills in both Arabic and English. The ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Certifications: Possession of recognized professional certifications in quality (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector - CQI) will be a significant advantage.
• Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The candidate must be capable of working independently and as part of a team.
