Job Description
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for leading and growing the hot water systems portfolio (including solar water heaters, electric water heaters, and central water heating systems) within the Omani market. You will act as the vital technical bridge between client needs and the engineering solutions offered by the company.
Key responsibilities are expected to include:
- Identifying and targeting potential clients in the construction, hospitality, healthcare, and large-scale residential/commercial project sectors.
- Conducting technical needs analysis for clients and proposing the most suitable hot water system solutions.
- Preparing comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, including load calculations, costing, and delivery timelines.
- Delivering compelling technical presentations and demonstrations to both existing and prospective clients.
- Providing post-sale technical support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Staying abreast of the latest technologies and products in the water heating systems industry.
- Collaborating closely with the internal engineering and support teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Meeting and exceeding defined sales and revenue targets.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role (Sales Engineer or Application Engineer), with a strong focus on hot water systems or HVAC systems. Experience in the Gulf market, particularly Oman, is a significant advantage.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth understanding of the working principles of water heating systems (solar, electric, heat pumps, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics and drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Personal Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Arabic.
- Strong relationship-building and account management abilities.
- Self-starter with a target-driven and proactive work ethic.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
