Job Description

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the digital infrastructure of the company and its clients. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring advanced cybersecurity strategies to ensure data and systems remain protected from evolving cyber threats.

Key Expected Responsibilities:

• Design & Implement Security Controls: Develop and build robust security systems and tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, IAM solutions).
• Threat Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor networks and systems for suspicious activity and lead effective responses to contain cybersecurity incidents.
• Conduct Vulnerability Assessments & Penetration Testing: Perform regular penetration tests and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate weaknesses before exploitation.
• Develop Policies & Procedures: Contribute to establishing and updating cybersecurity policies, compliance standards, and best practices within the organization.
• Training & Awareness: Educate other teams on cybersecurity risks and secure practices.
• Research & Development: Stay abreast of the latest cyber threats, technologies, and trends in the security landscape.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you are expected to meet the following criteria:

Technical Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven hands-on experience of 5 to 7 years in the cybersecurity field, with a focus on engineering or operational roles.
• In-depth knowledge of computer networks, protocols, and systems architecture.
• Hands-on experience with operating systems (Linux, Windows) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with common security tools (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability scanners, incident response tools).

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and investigative skills for solving complex problems.
• Ability to work under pressure and in emergency conditions.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to present technical reports to non-technical audiences.
