Job Description and Responsibilities
The Stakeholder Interface Engineer will serve as the central and effective liaison between all parties involved in the project. This role will be primarily responsible for ensuring seamless communication, coordination, and information exchange among representatives of Hill International, the client/owner, main and sub-contractors, consultants, relevant governmental and regulatory authorities, and any other parties that impact or are impacted by the project's progress.
Key expected responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective stakeholder communication strategy and plan throughout the project lifecycle.
- Organizing and chairing regular meetings with representatives of all stakeholders, preparing and distributing meeting minutes, and following up on action items.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for receiving and directing formal inquiries and correspondence between various stakeholders, ensuring timely responses.
- Coordinating the resolution of conflicts or misunderstandings that may arise between different parties, in collaboration with the Project Manager and legal team when necessary.
- Preparing periodic reports on stakeholder engagement status, highlighting potential risks or delays arising from coordination issues.
- Ensuring alignment of all parties with contract requirements, local regulations, and agreed-upon quality and safety standards.
- Contributing to facilitating project handover and final delivery processes by ensuring all stakeholder requirements are met.
Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this critical role, you must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Architectural, or a related field) from an accredited university. A Master's degree in Project Management or a related field is a strong additional advantage.
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in construction or development project management, with a significant portion spent in a role focused on stakeholder coordination and management.
- Proven experience working on large-scale, highly complex projects, preferably in sectors such as infrastructure, luxury commercial or residential buildings, or mixed-use developments.
- Previous work experience in Saudi Arabia, specifically in the Riyadh region, with a deep understanding of relevant governmental procedures and local construction regulations.
Personal and Professional Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English (essential requirement).
- Superior ability in negotiation, problem-solving, and mediating between parties with different interests.
- In-depth understanding of project management procedures, contract documents (e.g., FIDIC), and project life cycles.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership personality, capable of working independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
