Job Description

The Subcontracts Engineer will be responsible for the technical and administrative aspects related to the management of subcontractors within the company's project framework. He/She will work within an integrated team to ensure work is executed according to the highest standards of quality, time, and cost.

Key Expected Responsibilities:

• Technical Contract Management: Oversee the technical side of subcontract execution, reviewing plans and methodologies submitted by subcontractors.
• Coordination & Liaison: Act as a technical liaison between project management and subcontracting entities, ensuring accurate and clear flow of information.
• Document Review: Analyze and review technical documents submitted by subcontractors, such as quality plans, HSE plans, and detailed schedules.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure subcontractors' work complies with the agreed technical specifications in the contract and all local standards and regulations.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor work progress on-site, prepare regular technical performance reports, and highlight any deviations or potential risks.
• Problem Solving: Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues that may arise during the execution phase in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial) or equivalent.
• Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in a similar role (Contracts Engineer, Technical Procurement Engineer, Site Engineer) within the engineering, construction, or oil and gas project sector.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of project life cycles, contracting procedures, and technical document management.
• Personal Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Preference: Will be given to individuals with experience working in the Saudi market and knowledge of local procedures and regulations.
